Is Sugar Bad?

Hey sugar really that bad?

Without a long-drawn out answer it is simple, Yes!

There is a laundry list of the effects of sugar and no myth. With sugar being 8x’s more addictive than cocaine it is an addiction that is tough to break. A couple of statistics that are staggering to me are; adolescence type 2 diabetes did not exist until after 1980.  The other stat that really stands out to me is more people on the planet are obese than malnourished. Their many studies of shown that excess sugar intake will immediately affect your liver, cause metabolic dysfunction, increased cholesterol, and is the feeding ground for cancer.

Over the decades of being a trainer/nutrition coach managing clients sugar and take has been a tough first task.  It is staggering to see the effects that sugar has on your vascular system as it increases uric acid levels which are risk factor for heart and liver disease. Also, as they increase the inflammation in your blood vessels it will cause buildup of cholesterol along with limiting blood-pressure and function of your entire system as your blood vessels cannot transport oxygen and nutrients to the body as needed.

To be straight forward the only way to get rid of it is to cut it out completely . I would like to personally challenge you to go without sugar for 30 days and see how you feel as you will notice better sleep, less stress, increased recovery, and minimize to decay (in case you want to keep your chompers).

I encourage you to do your own due diligence and read a few of the studies on the effects of sugar. You owe it to yourself to be as healthy as possible and this is one major step in the right direction.  As always if you have any questions or suggestions on subject she would like us to cover please contact us.
