Average Is Perfect

It's great how this (some-what) oxymoron peaks your interest but is totally true.  As we all work on our health/personal goals we always try to maintain a high standard for ourselves and feel like anything less is not satisfactory.  I would like you to take a step back and really look at the effort you put into the goals you have for yourself and what you're trying to ultimately attain. What I mean in the title of "average is perfect" will get you right where you want to be.

Let's take yo-yo dieting and consideration to prove the point. Most of us as we have a weight goal will set specific calorie or food goals for each day.  As we get momentum for a few days or a couple weeks or even a few months something comes up and we fall off the wagon. At this point goals or forgotten until that next point in your life a frustration where you will start them again.

So, here's the game plan. No matter if you want to PR a lift, lose some weight, or finally start your own business you will see how average is perfect.  What we are looking to build is consistency.  The way to do this is to look inside yourself and no matter what happens each and every day you are putting in at least an average effort. Understanding this concept will help you get your ultimate goal because you're not setting such a high standard to meet during your journey toward your goal.  By embracing this approach, you will allow yourself to accomplish more during your journey and feel more satisfied knowing that if you fell short one day or one week or even one month that you are still pushing forward towards that goal.
